Eutectic and hypereutectic AlSi casting alloys are increasingly being used in component casting processes in the automotive and mechanical industries. These components must have a fine and uniform silicon structure. To achieve this, alloy manufacturers or casters will add phosphorus to the melt. Therefore, aluminum phosphide is formed as the nucleus for the growth of fine-grained silicon crystals. AlCuP phosphorus rods are different from all other phosphorus release products. When using other products, aluminum phosphide nuclei (AlP) are formed under long-term furnace temperature, and AlCuP phosphorus rods already contain this type of nucleus, which is necessary for refining primary silicon grains. In addition, when using alloys containing only phosphorus copper (CuP), the transformation mode of CuP in AlP is significantly uncoordinated, resulting in frequent changes in phosphorus yield in the size and distribution of primary silicon. Conversely, AlCuP has been used by foundries for many years and widely recognized. It is well known that only 40ppm of P (AlP) is a necessary condition for achieving high-quality grain refinement.

Compared with other phosphorus releasing products (referred to as CuP), AlCuP has the following advantages:

¡¤Due to its instantaneous effect, phosphorus treatment can be carried out outside the furnace

¡¤The proportion, reproducibility, and treatment effect of phosphorus treatment are excellent
¡¤Can be used at "low" temperatures (i.e. AlSi12-720 ¡ã C, AlSi18-740 ¡ã C)
¡¤Energy saving during alloy melting and insulation at low temperatures
¡¤Due to low temperature, it can reduce the generation of hydrogen gas
¡¤No smoke or floating debris is produced
¡¤No risk to the health of operators
¡¤No chemical corrosion to equipment
¡¤According to the situation, obtain primary silicon with a size of 30 ¡Â 50 ¦Ì m. The size of primary silicon is' smaller ', which can improve the wear resistance and service life of piston manufacturing tools.
