The Elidron 208 is capable of releasing nitrogen gas, which can be used for washing and degassing of molten alloys. Nitrogen can remove hydrogen captured by metals during melting operations and elevate all oxides, micro oxides, and impurities to the surface of the solution. Elidron 201 tablets have a combination effect. Tablets dissolved by metal temperature release nitrogen gas, which can remove hydrogen dissolved in the metal and non-metallic impurities floating in the solution. The compounds contained in this product can react with oxides and remove alloys from non-metallic impurities. Elidron 201 is recommended for degassing all types of aluminum alloys in furnaces and ladles. This product is not suitable for aluminum magnesium alloys with magnesium content higher than 3%. In this case, we recommend using Elidron 208.
