High quality flux, granular, used to add sodium to aluminum silicon alloys with silicon content ranging from 7-13%. Modification treatment changes the silicon structure of the alloy and improves the mechanical properties of the castings. The silicon structure transforms from coarse, angular needle like crystals into fine, circular, interconnected fiber particles, completely distributed within the aluminum matrix. The main advantage is the significant improvement in tensile strength and elongation characteristics. Crystal 2007/M is recommended for modification treatment of aluminum silicon alloys cast at temperatures between 740-780 ℃.
