High quality flux, in powder form, used to add sodium to aluminum silicon alloys with silicon content ranging from 7-13%. Modification treatment changes the silicon structure of the alloy and improves the mechanical properties of the castings. The silicon structure transforms from coarse, angular needle like crystals into fine, circular, interconnected fiber particles, completely distributed within the aluminum matrix. The main advantage is significantly improved tensile strength and elongation characteristics. ALUXAL 267 is recommended for modification treatment of aluminum silicon alloys cast at temperatures between 750-780 ℃.
