Metkote 101 is a new type of protective agent formulated from thixotropic elements soluble in water, applied to refractory insulation linings or metal surfaces in contact with liquid aluminum alloys. It is an ideal choice for protecting cast iron ladles, skimmers, degassing spray guns, flow channels, cast iron crucibles, filter boxes, and steel ingot molds. The slag press head and mold should be protected with Metkote 101 to extend their lifespan and resist aluminum thermal processes as well as cast steel corrosion caused by slag exothermic reactions. The development of this coating can prevent iron leakage from contaminating aluminum alloys.

Warning: This product is sensitive to frost: After use, it should be stored in an environment above 5 ℃ and sealed in a bucket. During storage, certain products containing mineral components often precipitate. Due to the specific density of minerals, this phenomenon is completely normal. Before use, be sure to mix the product carefully. If stored correctly, the product has a shelf life of over 12 months.
